Twenty-five years ago I was visited by a UFO when I was 19. It’s a memory I have not been able to erase from my memory. I remember it like it was yesterday. At 19 years old I had a one-year-old child and lived with my husband and was living a “normal” life.
It was 1999 and I drove to my mom’s house alone to see her, I recall I stopped by to pick something up. She wasn’t home but I had the key to the house and I went in to retrieve what I was looking for. As I was locking up the front door, I walked down the entry sidewalk. As I was walking away from the entry door, something told me to turn around.
When I turned around I looked to the side of the house. There I saw before my eyes a silver UFO with lights around the UFO that were interchangeably changing colors, I remember green, red, and orange lights. I stood still and looked at the UFO. It seemed to be located a few meters from the roof of the house. As I stood there frozen looking at it, it slowly came down between the side of my mother’s house and the next-door neighbor’s house. There was a green patch of grass at that time, but now it’s filled with my mom’s garden.
I’ll never forget that not only was I silent the entire time but I also felt no fear. I just remember feeling awe-stricken and surprised. After taking a look at the UFO I noticed it was hovering in silence, I turned my head ever so slowly to not lose sight of the UFO while simultaneously checking to see if anyone else could see what I was seeing. I looked across the street and I looked further beyond the street where a bicycle bridge separated my mom’s street from another neighborhood. In my view was the park across the bridge. I saw no one in sight. My mom lived on a dead-end street in a residential neighborhood, and this all occurred in broad daylight in the evening hours.
When I saw nobody was there to witness what I was witnessing I put my attention back to the UFO, and there it was hovering in the same spot with lights. I contemplated what to do next, I considered walking to it but instead, I remembered I had my cell flip phone in the front pocket of my jeans. I slowly reached for my camera. Something in my head told me to not take out my phone but instead to take in the moment and be present. Before I got the chance to take out my phone, the UFO slowly hovered up above the side of my mother’s roof. Then it took off ever so fast like a speed of lightning it was gone all in silence with no noise.
What felt like an eternity probably lasted a minute or less. I was in total amazement at the experience. I didn’t share the experience with anyone for a long time for fear of sounding crazy. But I also felt special for having to witness what had happened and I remained calm during the entire time.
25 years later it’s a memory I cherish. I evaluate that experience often in my mind. I attempted to explain it away in my head, why was I visited by a UFO, why was I so calm, was it another timeline or did it visit me intentionally, maybe it was my cosmic family visiting me? Either way, I am glad I had the experience and wanted to share it with people regardless if I am believed or not.
